Writing is the one common thread that weaves itself through all the seasons of my life.

It is the birdsong on the first lovely morning of Spring, the cool water in the well on a hot Summer afternoon, the crisp clarity of an expansive Fall sunset and the comfort of a cozy fireplace on a cold Winter’s night.

60 4 60

It felt big that year we both turned 60. Big in an “I-won’t-let-this-number-define me” kind of frantic disbelief sort-of-way.

And so an idea was formed as we were biking on a sunny afternoon in January: 60 rides  to be completed together in the calendar year of our 60th birthdays. Sixty rides for sixty years. 60 4 60. And of course, I wrote about it.
